In the Market, Only the Few Succeed

2007/11/13 8:27:42

When this ID started the course, some people asked an extremely naive question: once everyone masters this ID's theory, will the theory still be useful? This kind of thinking is like the equally foolish logic that if everyone has communist ideology, communism will be realized. Unfortunately, communism has nothing to do with any ideology. The laughable degradation of Marx's greatness into "cultivating new communist people" — that is the historical tragedy of such logic.

In the market, only the few succeed. Why? Because only the few can truly master themselves. Conquering the world does not mean you can master yourself. Knowing yourself and mastering yourself — this is harder than conquering the world.

Of course, from the standpoint of market logic, there's no need to be sentimental about lambs waiting for slaughter. The question is — the most important question is — don't squeeze yourself into the flock of lambs. Therefore, this ID can only adopt the attitude of awakening however many can be awakened.

No one is born a lamb. It is your heart, your vision, your behavior that makes you a lamb. Without cultivating yourself, without tempering yourself in the market, a lamb can only ever be a lamb.

A 1,000-point, roughly 10-plus-percent pullback has already thrown so many people into complete disarray. In the past, there were routinely 50% or 60% adjustments — wouldn't that really result in corpses strewn everywhere? What must come will always come. The market's genuine re-strengthening must follow the clearing out of what needs to be cleared — just like a river channel silted up; without dredging, how can it work?

What we have right now is merely a mid-level adjustment in the first phase of the great bull market — there has never been any doubt about this. As for the stocks this ID has previously mentioned, not a single one will be abandoned. Once the mid-level adjustment ends, they will launch again, and some have already begun warming up — this too is quite evident. But regarding the adjustment, first we must face it — this is the matter at hand; deal with it first.

According to the market's rhythm, those who exited at 6,004 points started buying back yesterday for a rebound. Once the rebound ends, dump it and get out — there's nothing to hesitate about. The chart tells you everything. Whether the rebound has ended — it's all in the price movement.

The key is: can your mind be like a bright mirror, reflecting the true market movement in the present moment?

After close this afternoon, there's an immediate engagement. Will try to give the after-market analysis if time allows. Otherwise, coming back tonight probably won't leave any possibility for writing either.

Outside, can only do this much. Will try to post the analysis before the banquet — otherwise, probably no chance to write anything tonight.

All existence is suffering — only then is cultivation possible.

Having suffering, truly wonderful.
