About This Site

Knowledge belongs to all of humanity. The writings, theories, ideas, and life-operation experiment demonstrated by Chan in the final moments of life are undoubtedly among the most singular existences in the treasury of human knowledge. This site has collected all articles and the author's own replies published by Chan on the Sina Blog, Qiangguo, Tianya, "Fund Analysis," and other forums and publications, as well as reasonably authentic accounts of Chan's life gathered through various publicly available channels. The goal is to reconstruct a complete life record of "Chán Zhōng Shuō Chán," fulfilling my long-held aspiration to "write a biography for Master Chan, and carry forward the lost wisdom of the sages."

All beings suffer. May "Chán Zhōng Shuō Chán" -- who "forever wished only to stand tall" and "hoped to explore and demonstrate all human potential and possibility" -- through the existence of this site, illuminate a corner of the world and bring ever more people wisdom, wealth, and courage.

Finally, to those existences in infinite space that I understand or cannot understand: if the creation and maintenance of this site can be considered a kind of "good cause" corresponding to some "good fruit," then the only "good fruit" I wish for in the worldly sense is family peace and well-being, freedom from illness, and long life.

Get the Chanxilu (缠习录) App

A reading app built for Chán Zhōng Shuō Chán's original blog posts: carefully typeset, with netizen comments and Master Chan's replies rearranged into conversation threads, offline reading, and synced reading progress. The original texts are always free. The app is in Chinese and available in app stores outside mainland China.

• iPhone / iPad: Download on the App Store
• Android: the Google Play version is in closed testing. Google requires at least 12 testers to stay opted in for 14 consecutive days before the app can apply for public release; if testers drop out and the count falls below 12, the clock restarts — so the more testers, the safer. You are warmly invited to join (a Google account from outside mainland China is required):
  1. Join the Google Group "缠习录 安卓封测"
  2. Open the testing link and tap "Become a tester"
  3. Install "缠习录" from Google Play and keep it installed for at least 14 days
• Leave a review: if you enjoy the app, please rate and review it on the App Store. The more reviews a new app has, the more readers it reaches. Once the Android version is publicly released, reviews on Google Play are welcome too.

  • The Chanxilu (缠习录) app launched in overseas app stores: the iOS version is live on the App Store; the Android version is in closed testing on Google Play — testers are welcome (see "Support This Site" above).
