Making a Fuss with Good Reason -- On Why We Should Absolutely Never Trust the Statistical Sampling Results Promoted by "Mathematics" (Note: The Post That Drove [Mathematics] Away)

Today another leftist posted "On Why We Should Trust Statistical Sampling Results," purely thinking they could bamboozle the liberal arts majors here, or betting that most people here haven't graduated from kindergarten. But this is not exclusively a leftist forum. Just because you call yourself "Mathematics" doesn't mean you can go around spouting mathematical nonsense and swindling people.

Statistical sampling in practice is based on probability theory, and in modern mathematics, probability theory is premised on axiomatization. So-called probability, loosely speaking, is a real-valued function satisfying non-negativity, normalization, and countable additivity. Of course, this refers to our ordinary probability. For non-negativity, normalization, and countable additivity, each can actually be modified -- just as non-Euclidean geometry relates to Euclidean geometry.

But just as current developments in physics still haven't figured out what the geometry of the real world actually is -- hence special then general relativity, gauge field theory, superstring theory, M-theory, and the like -- similarly, who can prove that current ordinary probability IS the probability of reality? Even if one could prove this, probability built on an axiomatic foundation is still a muddled account.

The so-called muddled account is the original sin of axiomatization itself. All the world's mathematicians, at least up to now, have not figured out how to eliminate this original sin. If someone goes around spreading things based on this and demanding that people believe, isn't that swindling? Especially if this person uses the name "Mathematics" -- that's even more unforgivable.

The Strong Nation Forum leftists' talent and tradition for swindling are well known to all, so there is no need for surprise. But when you see them proclaiming their so-called God or truth, just know that they are spouting nonsense again. Science cannot tolerate any swindling. The spirit of science lies in skepticism, not in the "belief" that the Strong Nation Forum leftist "Mathematics" promotes -- this is the most critical point of all.
