Distant, distant Tianya, distant, distant autumn; infatuated clouds and drunken sun flow halfway up the mountain.
Pitiable, one river crossing the void and gone; ten thousand acres of misty waves that cannot fathom sorrow!

Distant, distant Tianya, distant, distant autumn; rosy clouds and misty waters flow of their own through emptiness.
Who pities the west peak after the west wind passes; lovesickness covers the ground, sorrow covers the ground!

Wind and rain fill the city, autumn fills the city; one river crosses the void where heaven and earth flow.
Climbing alone the solitary peak, pouring a hundred dippers; piercing the clouds with a howl, exhausting the sorrow of past and present.

One bout of wind and rain, one bout of autumn,
Still the green mountains pillow the jade stream's flow.
A blood-splashed rainbow pierces heaven and earth,
Xihe's whip falls, the six dragons grieve.

Eternal sky through spring and autumn,
One morning's wind-moon, stars suddenly flow.
Where wild bees gather deep in slanting sun,
Leaves fall and flowers fly -- sorrow grieves its own sorrow.
