From This Lady's Experience Last Week: Who Is Really the Number One Chinese Forum!

Last week this lady first posted "Setting Up an Arena to Challenge All Men in the World -- If You're a Man, Come Fight!" here. In less than a day it had tens of thousands of clicks and over 600 replies, and then it was locked. Then this lady posted it to a place equally famous as this one, related to a cat -- I probably can't say the specific name here, so I won't. On the first day there were already over 1,000 replies, and its fate was also being locked. Then after a day or so this lady began appealing. Here it seemed to have no effect, but there it was accepted. This lady's reasoning was simple: fairness!

Now, over there, that post has already gotten over a hundred thousand clicks and over 3,000 replies, and excluding the time it was locked, it's only been a bit over three days. Previously this lady saw on some ranking that place was often ranked higher than here, and this lady thought that couldn't be right. Now I find that's probably correct. At least that place is better than here in these ways: First, no screen-flooding -- the worst thing here is people using so-called screen-flooding to kill posts. Second, posts don't become unopenable from too many replies. Third, posts aren't locked arbitrarily -- at least after locking there's a chance to appeal!

This lady once said Qiangguo is the big boss, this place is number two, and I wasn't planning to find a number three. But now that someone has better technology and attitude, they can serve as number three. Although the annoying thing there is they review posts before publishing, at least there are the three advantages above! And here you need 500 characters to post, while there apparently has no such requirement -- as long as it's not too short. Of course, it's hard to say whether that's good or bad.
