The constitution stipulates freedom of religious belief, but the premise is that such religion must not adopt a hostile, infiltrating, or destructive stance toward Chinese society -- otherwise it's no different from a cult. So what role have Catholicism and Christianity, which have historically played inglorious roles in non-Western countries on multiple occasions, actually been playing at the grassroots and cultural levels? Below is an analysis.

According to unofficial data, there are currently over 100 million Catholic and Christian believers in China, with even more under their influence. Since Chinese Catholicism and Christianity are nominally independent, on the surface no foreign missionaries are active -- but this is only the surface.

The cultural infiltration and destructive effects of Catholicism and Christianity are even more severe. Just look at the Western holidays children nowadays love and you'll know. Also, randomly pick a major web portal and look at the religion section's websites and chatrooms -- Catholic and Christian ones are the most numerous. Where does the funding and manpower come from? They are not native Chinese religions. Shouldn't alarm bells be ringing?

In reality, an ideological vacuum cannot exist. Over the past twenty-plus years, the weakening of ideological struggle has allowed all manner of confused ideas to spread wildly. It's actually reached a shocking degree -- some are brazenly open, others are more cunning, and the latter may be more deadly. Because they often coordinate with external economic and political infiltration and destruction. Like termites destroying a dam -- by the time the flood comes, it's too late.

The constitution stipulates freedom of religious belief, but the government has an even greater responsibility to ensure this freedom doesn't constitute a threat to national security. I have never concealed my disgust for Catholicism and Christianity, which have produced the most disasters in human history, just as I have never concealed my disgust for the hand of the little one placed not on the Bible, because that hand could press a certain button at any time.
