A Serious Assessment: Chiang Kai-shek

A serious assessment: Chiang Kai-shek — a national hero who devoted himself wholeheartedly while standing on his own class's position.

Now should be the time for a comprehensive and fair evaluation of Chiang Kai-shek. "Chiang Kai-shek — a national hero who devoted himself wholeheartedly while standing on his own class's position" can probably give an objective assessment of the man.

First, Chiang Kai-shek stood on his own class's position — nobody would dispute this. In truth, who doesn't stand on their own class's position with their rear end determining their brain? Chiang Kai-shek was certainly no exception. Second, "devoted himself wholeheartedly" is absolutely not an exaggeration when applied to Chiang Kai-shek. His diligence was plain for all to see. Of course, you can say his efforts were misdirected, but when you criticize him this way, you are merely standing on your own position. That Chiang Kai-shek devoted himself wholeheartedly for the interests of his class is an irrefutable fact.

The greatest controversy is probably the "national hero" part, but this too is a fact. Yue Fei and Qi Jiguang were national heroes, but didn't they also suppress peasant uprisings? The things Chiang Kai-shek did while standing on his class's position were, of course, bloody and brutal. But class struggle has never been a dinner party — isn't that perfectly normal? Furthermore, after retreating to Taiwan, Chiang Kai-shek did not do anything to betray the nation. He ensured that Taiwan's fundamental nature remained unchanged — this is also a point in favor of his status as a national hero.

Chiang Kai-shek was also someone who was good at learning. After going to Taiwan, Taiwan also had land reform. Although there were many objective reasons for Taiwan's subsequent economic rise, Chiang Kai-shek's subjective contribution cannot be erased. In terms of military strategy, Chiang Kai-shek was of course far from being Mao Zedong's match. But in economic matters, he should at least be no worse than Mao Zedong.

Summarizing the above, Chiang Kai-shek was a national hero who devoted himself wholeheartedly while standing on his own class's position. Nobody should object to this, right?
