Just Some Idle Talk Today

Late tonight, Liverpool faces another do-or-die battle. I won't write other posts today — just a few idle words, then rest.
Being a Liverpool fan demands a level of psychological fortitude that, except for Chinese football fans, is probably the highest in the world. Today's Liverpool is becoming less and less Liverpool. When even the likes of Gerrard are gone, this ID will probably need a change of air.
A favorite club can still be swapped, but swapping your apple [motherland] is impossible. No matter where you go, your apple's genes are permanently embedded — unless you die early and reincarnate elsewhere.
Sometimes, this ID would rather think of the apple as a favorite club — one whose place can never be changed. Everyone, from the moment of birth, is irrevocably enrolled.
As a permanent fan of this club, this ID naturally has every reason to refuse to watch another club's fully armed battle formations swaggering through our club's gates. This ID believes this is the most minimal demand for any member of any club.
This ID equally has reason to demand that what happened in the Taiwan Strait a few days ago must be the very last time.
When the first yang returns, courage rises first. Without courage, can one still call oneself human? A club without courage — does it deserve its fans' cheers?
Why has Chinese football died? It's not because their technique is poor or their play terrible — poor technique can be practiced, terrible play can continue — but because they've lost even the most basic courage.
Football can be "Chinese football"; but China must not become "Chinese football."
