A Mathematical Proof of Historical Cycles and the Six Paths of Transmigration

The world is full of unlearned types who, with the firefly-light of their intellect, presume to illuminate the vastness of the universe, ultimately trapping themselves in their own nests and wasting their lives. What can be subjected to science, what can be subjected to humanity, is forever no more than a speck of dust of the universe. Attempting to use science and humanity to universe the universe reveals nothing but the ignorance of science and humanity.
Of course, within the scope of what we can understand, we absolutely must exhaust the inquiry to its source. We absolutely cannot blindly believe or blindly disbelieve. Many people's believing and disbelieving are both muddled and blind — what meaning does such cognition have?
For example, the historical cycles previously discussed, and the six-path cycles frequently mentioned — the most direct way to understand these is, of course, to return to historical and six-path cycles and experience them firsthand. However, this kind of karmic connection is not available to everyone. The majority can only settle for the next best thing — using rational thought to grasp these relatively mysterious, non-everyday matters. Within the scope of what reason can accept, the most rigorous approach is a mathematized proof.
First, a not entirely rigorous definition: a set composed of finite elements, if it can maintain the set's closure under a certain operator, then that set is finitely closed with respect to that operator. The mysterious things we encounter basically all belong to this kind of set. For example, the set of historical events: first, it is obviously finite; second, history operated upon by history remains history, so the set is obviously closed with respect to the operator of history. The six paths of transmigration — at least within the scope of what we can understand and accept — is likewise.
So what does such a system look like under the action of the operator? A very simple theorem emerges: starting from any element of the set, a cycle must necessarily appear after a finite number of steps. The proof of this theorem is simple: if no cycle appeared, the process could continue indefinitely, producing elements all different from one another, which would contradict the finiteness of the set's elements. Note: this theorem, at least within the scope of human reason, is unassailable and absolute. With such a theorem in hand, the inevitability of cycles is self-evident. Cycles are not mysterious; quite contrary to most people's intuition, they are inevitable. It would be strange for cycles not to occur.
As for the uniformity of cycle length, this is determined by the degree of uniformity of the set's elements under the operator's action. For instance, the 32-year cycle of modern Chinese history exists because China during this period has been in a process of ascending from a historical low point, with a relatively stable historical driving force. Therefore, the appearance of a relatively uniform period is entirely natural. And the so-called historical driving force is, at its root, people themselves — just as stock prices are the result of the comprehensive game among traders, history is the same. The resultant force among people constitutes the ultimate driving force of history.
Cycles are not mysterious. Cycles are the resonance triggered by our collective resultant force. What triggers the cycles is ourselves. And some fools are still bewildered and disbelieving about the very thing they participate in triggering. Of course, the game of history cannot do without these fools, just as the stock market cannot do without those who ultimately lose everything and are devoured by others. Reality is just like this.
As for exploring the six paths of transmigration, it requires much deeper investigation than historical cycles. The key is to observe the different behaviors of different elements under the operator's action and the different types of cycles they constitute. Those interested can research this on their own. Through this, you will probably be able to at least glimpse the six paths of transmigration from a rational perspective.
