The World Cup: Consume Men to the Very End!

Men exist to be consumed. Of course, one would very much like to discover some use for men beyond consumption, but none has ever been found. The uses of men: in wartime, they become piles upon piles of white bones that ultimately fertilize the soil and maintain ecological balance — that is probably the most glorious use men can boast of. Beyond that, among men's uses there is one more that has been given a name intimately associated with a certain quacking animal — and that is probably the sole use of men in times of peace.
But the World Cup — this war without gunpowder — elevates the significance of men to its ultimate height. Only through the World Cup can one discover that men, apart from serving as cannon fodder and that certain special animal, can have such magnificent utility. Twenty-two men, in order to prove that they themselves are not a ball, engage in the relentless pursuit and interception of a ball — this is the most symbolically significant event in modern patriarchal society. It must be added that the highest reward these men receive for attempting to be-ball rather than be-balled is a ball clutched in someone's hand. Men's balls, of course, are forever destined to be clutched!
Whether or not men qualify as a ball does not affect the conclusion that the World Cup will consume men to the very end — a point as unquestionable as men's irreversible fate of being consumed. Starting tonight, the world is in Great Harmony. The Great Harmony of the world is, of course, mere empty talk — but the world truly can achieve Great Harmony: for example, during this month beginning tonight, the world achieves Great Harmony through the consumption of men. More precisely stated: the world achieves Great Harmony through the thorough consumption of men who ball themselves in pursuit of balls.
Consume men! Consume men to your heart's content! At least for this one month, men's excitement exists for the sake of being consumed. And this excitement will be transmitted through images across the entire world — even in men's special industry of daily life, such extraordinary treatment would be impossible. Tonight, men are men because of balls; tonight, men are consumed because of men; tonight, men find glory in being consumed!

No matter how many beauty pageants there are, they can't overshadow the World Cup's consumption of men!
