Whether he is the greatest in the history of music -- only one old man and another eternally young old man would have the standing to object. These three old men who spoke the same mother tongue: a brook deeper and vaster than the ocean, a song purer than any angel's aria, a spirit more powerful than the world itself -- the three true pillars of classical music's firmament, stars scattered among them, and from that point on the world became the world.
