A Fresh Regulated Verse for My Country and My People: Evening Lookout

2008/6/10 22:23:19

The situation that may now be unfolding was entirely framed in this ID's "Currency Wars and the RMB Strategy" written years ago. In last year's addendum, this ID explicitly predicted that because of our own pathetic and inferior strategy, the United States has already seized the most advantageous strategic position. America will use its tried-and-true tactics to torment China, just as it did to Japan before and during the subsequent Asian Financial Crisis.

Now, all of this is about to become reality once again. We have consistently had excellent strategic opportunities, but we squandered every single one of them. Our financial regulators continue playing the imbecile game of squeezing margin requirements like toothpaste. We are still bewildered by the sudden embarrassment that US dollar interest rates are lower than RMB rates, because the financial regulators designed a blueprint requiring RMB interest rates to maintain a basic spread over the US dollar. This ID has mercilessly ridiculed this blueprint countless times over the past several years.

The war could have been avoided, but it is now imminent. The only correct choice now is to fire the first blocking shot outside our borders — to stage a Pingxingguan ambush abroad, seizing the strategic initiative. If executed well, the war could even be dissolved into thin air.

If we miss this opportunity, then this ID will mercilessly predict: afterwards there will be beacon fires for months on end. Those asset bubbles will become buried bombs one after another, the fifth column will fully reveal itself, and an extremely bloody financial war — one we may ultimately win at horrific cost — will unfold inside our borders. What will that look like?

Of course, even if it comes to that, this ID will still fight alongside my country and my people without regret or remorse. Our generation's mission is to pull America off its horse and make China the leader. If we cannot accomplish this by the last breath of our lives, then our lives will be utterly worthless in the worldly sense.

A perfect life must be perfect in both worldly dharma and transcendent dharma. Being born human means one must stand tall, must create a perfect life — otherwise, what's the point of living? Just to add a little more material for the toilet to flush each day?

After dinner, gazing at the evening sky, I composed this regulated verse — for my country and my people.

Evening Lookout

Chán Zhōng Shuō Chán

Sunset clouds scatter — fallen flower-souls across the sky

A full view of faded crimson — lakeside wilds textured and rough

Half a lifetime of mountains layered, waters doubled, roads

One spring of melancholy rain, sickly wind, a suffering man

Still bequeathing spirit and aspiration to the eastward-flowing sea

How could the nation's soul be allowed to turn westward?

Destined for great tasks — sinews, bones, and righteousness steeled

Characters of starlight filling the sky — filling the spirit
