Revised Old Verse Dedicated to Contemporaries of the 80+X Generation

Can poetry reach the heights of Yellow Crane Tower? That's beyond my ability
Equality and freedom are all detestable
Ghosts and monsters, humans and demons each have their preferences
Which Enlightenment figure can serve as a beacon?

Having been online for just over a month, I've found that the internet roughly has three kinds of people: the '66 cohort (Red and Black?), the '89 cohort (the late-Ming-early-Qing "escaping into Chan" type?), and the '80 cohort (the cartoon type?). This roughly mirrors reality. I unfortunately belong to the last group — and thinking about life after graduation is quite terrifying. Equality falls to the left, freedom falls to the right — the French Revolution's third leg is gone. Derrida talked about forgiveness after 9/11 and deservedly got scolded — he probably got haunted by the specter of symbols again.
